Montessori Teacher for Primary Classroom
Monarch Montessori School is seeking a skilled Primary Montessori Teacher for immediate hire. This is a great position for an area credentialled teacher who is looking for a smaller work environment. The ideal candidate will love to work with children ages 3-7, have at least 5 years classroom management and teaching experience. Must be willing to undergo Montessori and early childhood training within the first 90 days of employment. Bachelor's degree and teacher's license required. CPR/First Aid Certification, COVID-19 vaccination also required.

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Afternoon Floater
Monarch Montessori School is seeking an Afternoon Floater to assist with transition periods between 1pm and 5:00pm. This is a great part-time job for student teachers who need classroom experience. COVID-19 vaccination, CPR & First Aid Certification and High School Diploma required. In-person training will take place during the first 90 days of employment. Must be at least 16 years of age.

Lead Infant Guide
We're seeking a dedicated and organized lead infant guide who has worked with infants in a childcare setting for a minimum of 5 years! If you love infants, this is the place for you. Our full-time infant program hosts 9 infants ranging from the age of 4 -16 months. We're nestled in the Del Ray part of Alexandria. Our neighborhood is bustling with new families, shops and eateries.
Shift: 8 a.m. to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
An ideal candidate will have the following:
1. Nido Infant Certification or CDA (Infant/Toddler) OR
2. A bachelor's degree in psychology, early childhood education, education, or other behavioral science degree.
3. Experience working with children ages 0-3 in a group setting such as daycare, aftercare, or nursery for a minimum of 5 years. NO NANNES OR BABYSITTERS PLEASE.
4. Familiarity with child-led philosophies such as Reggio Emilia or Montessori and/or open to learning more!
5. Experience using Brightwheel or Procare to upload lesson plans and communicate with parents.
6. Experience completing and submitting lesson plans using Brightwheel or Procare Software
7. Ability to work in the United States legally
8. Ability to work in a team environment
9. Ability to speak , read and write English fluently
10. Pediatric CPR & First Aid Certificate (Active)
11. Covid-19 Vaccination
12. Negative TB Skin Test
Other skills should include:
Ability to use a tablet/cell phone to upload photos and other content to Brightwheel or Procare
Ability to take directives from immediate supervisor and adhere to licensing standards
Ability to maintain professional standards for employment including reporting for work on time
Commitment to work assignment and confidentiality standards
Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance while on campus
Willingness to complete on-site interview and classroom screening process****
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 37. 5 per week
Salary: $24-$27/hour
